We Ethiopians in the Diaspora are remembering this month with great sadness. Seven years ago more than 200 Ethiopians, young and and old were gunned down by the direct order of the late Meles Zenawi for his minority led regime being voted out of office by the Ethiopian people.
Following Meles Zenawi's death, North Korean type burial ceremony was put in a place for more than two weeks. On this ceremony Ambassador Susan Rice gave an eulogy praising the killer and said not a single word for the victims.
Susan Rice did not hide her personal relationship with late Meles Zenawi's family. This family is one of the most corrupt in Africa and this is very troubling for USA foreign policy.
A person who should be promoted for higher office should have integrity and we Ethiopians believe that Susan Rice has compromised the USA interest with her association with a corrupt family of the late Meles Zenawi.
Therefore we are asking the Obama Administration not to promote her to any higher position. In fact we are demanding for her resignation from her current position as US Ambassador to United Nations.
